So, how can YOU make a BIG difference?

We have established the "ADOPT-A-STUDENT" programme where you can give one particular offender student a chance at a new life by supporting him during the year he spends with us.

In return, we will keep you up-to-date with the particular person's progress - not only in terms of skills development, but his overall progress into a new way of life. We will inform you, whenever possible, of his background, his struggles and his victories and we will send you any personal correspondence from him. YOU get to play a part in changing his life for the better! The picture centred above contains the actual offenders we worked with in 2009! We will be enrolling a new intake in January 2010.

It costs us around R40,000 a year or R3,333 per month to train one offender. That might seem like a lot, but did you know that it costs you and me more than that to keep him in prison every year. By keeping him out we could prevent another murder, rape or some other crime. How much money can we place on saving someone's life?

As not everyone can afford R3,333 a month, we are offering you this opportunity for a minimum donation of R500 per month! And remember, you're not only assisting ONE person. This individual is producing TV programmes that will be broadcast to thousands of offenders that will influence them in a positive way! On top of that, by giving him a chance to change his life, we prevent him from influencing others to commit similar crimes.

Alternatively, you might want to support one of our previous students who have already been released. Finding jobs as an ex-inmate is difficult but with your support we will employ him. This option is a bit more expensive (R6,000-R7,000 per month depending on the person's circumstances) but if you are interested let us know and we'll send you the details.
