 In 2004 a new intercom system was installed in Pollsmoor and all sections were linked. Unlike previously where each prison section had operated independently, we now had the opportunity to reach all offenders in Pollsmoor AT THE SAME TIME!
With the donation of a small transmitter which we received we were able to move the radio station to the sound studio and link our broadcasts to the entire Correctional Centre, thus reaching all 7,500 offenders in Pollsmoor.
As we now had our own home for the radio station we enrolled our first intake of offender students and began training them in radio production. Unfortunately, as the sound studio was now utilised for the production of all our radio programmes, we had to discontinue music production. |
