It all began in August 1999 with just a portable CD-player, a car tape-deck and 2 guys with a dream to see Jesus change the lives of offenders through radio.
Initially broadcasts were made through the juvenile intercom system in Pollsmoor Prison, Cape Town, South Africa reaching 1,700 juveniles under the age of 21. With time, more volunteers came on board and were trained as radio presenters.
It took some time, but eventually more substantial equipment was donated and financial support started coming in.
As we had no permanent office in Pollsmoor, we were required to set up the equipment every night before we broadcast and remove it after we were done for the evening.
